The Indianapolis Star reported Thursday that the possible penalties faced by former Indianapolis Park Tudor School coach Kyle Cox also include a fine of up to $250,000.
Documents filed this week in U.S. District Court charge Cox with coercion and enticement. They say he was 31 when the alleged acts occurred last fall. He was arrested in January, and is being held on 24-hour lockdown at a Volunteers of America-Indiana community corrections facility in downtown Indianapolis.
The scandal reignited the debate over when and whether attorneys have to report suspected child abuse.
His initial court appearance on the charge is set for May 3.
One of Cox's attorneys said she had no comment on the case.
