The Star Press reported that 24-year-old Benjamin David Brand of Cicero pleaded guilty during a hearing on Monday to driving while intoxicated causing death in which he admitted that he’d had “about 10 beers” before the July 10 collision that killed 18-year-old Mason L.R. Wolfe.
Authorities say that blood tests revealed that at the time of the collision Brand's blood-alcohol content was three times the legal limit for motorists in Indiana.
Brand is scheduled to be sentenced in Delaware Circuit Court on June 23.
