Delegate Josh Claybourn told the AP on Thursday that he thinks Trump "peddles fear and mean-spirited insults" and lacks the "mature temperament" needed to be president. The attorney at Jackson Kelly PLLC says he is stepping down as a delegate.
Indiana GOP officials are meeting this weekend to discuss the convention. Party rules call for an alternate delegate to take Claybourn's place.
Claybourn says he has received encouragement and support from other party leaders. It is unclear if other delegates may follow suit.
On Thursday, Indiana Gov. Mike Pence told a Terre Haute TV station that he will support Donald Trump as the Republican Party's presidential candidate in the November election.
