Subscribe NowState agencies hosting a September forum to raise awareness of mental illness and addiction are seeking professionals to discuss solutions at the eighth annual Indiana Annual Recovery Month Symposium Sept. 26-27.
The Indiana Family and Social Services Administration’s Division of Mental Health and Addiction partners with the Indiana Department of Correction to host INARMS. The event is geared toward treatment and criminal justice professionals who would like to learn more about mental health and addiction. The theme for the 2016 symposium is “Our Families, Our Stories, Our Recovery.” The two-day event will take place at the Marriott East, Indianapolis. “We are proud to, once again, provide an opportunity for mental health, substance abuse and criminal justice professionals to network, interact, learn and share ideas,” said Division of Mental Health and Addiction Director Kevin Moore. “Mental health and substance abuse issues have reached a crisis level in our state. We must continue to work together to seek solutions to these issues.”
