The Indiana State Bar Association will again be honoring Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. by sponsoring the 2017 “Talk to a Lawyer Today” program Jan. 16 at sites all across the state.

The annual tribute will coincide with the Martin Luther King holiday and will provide free legal assistance to the underserved.  Established in 2002, the “Talk to a Lawyer Today” program is expected to enlist more than 200 attorneys who will give 10- to 15-minute consultations, answering general questions and offering legal information to members of the general public who might not be able to afford a lawyer.

Along with numerous walk-in locations around the state, a statewide hotline for both English and Spanish speakers will be available 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 1-800-266-2581. Click here for a list of the walk-ins sites.
