The Lake County Government Center in Crown Point will resume normal operations Wednesday after being evacuated following a threat.

The Lake County Sheriff's Department declared an all clear following a search of the government center and its grounds Tuesday afternoon.

Sheriff John Buncich and the Lake County commissioners ordered all civilian personnel out of the building around noon Tuesday after the county prosecutor's office reported receiving an unspecified threat.

The government center about 30 miles southeast of Chicago houses the sheriff's department, courts, the county commissioners and other government offices.
