The Indiana Tax Court is taking its oral arguments on the road and heading to Bloomington this week.

Indiana Tax Court Judge Martha Blood-Wentworth will hear arguments in CVS Corp. v. Monroe County Assessor, 49T10-1605-TA-00011, on Friday at the Indiana University Maurer School of Law. The case deals with the question of whether the Indiana Board of Tax Review erred when, after deciding that the Monroe County Assessor failed to make a prima facie case supporting her assessed value, it ordered “no change” to the assessment, rather than reverting the assessed value to prior years’ value as required under Indiana Code 6-1.1-15-17.2(b).

Oral arguments will begin at 10 a.m. and are scheduled to last until noon. Arguments will be held in IU Maurer’s Moot Court Room at 211 S. Indiana Ave., Room 123, in Bloomington.
