Subscribe NowThe Indiana Judicial Nominating Commission will move to the next step in the process of selecting three finalists to fill an impending vacancy on the Indiana Supreme Court during its second round of semifinalists interviews later this month.
The 11 semifinalists selected for the second round of interviews to replace Justice Robert Rucker after his retirement next month will sit for half-hour interviews with the JNC and Chief Justice Loretta Rush on April 18 and April 19. The court announced the interview schedule Tuesday:
Tuesday, April 18
• 9:30 – 10 a.m.: Judge Vicki Carmichael
• 10 – 10:30 a.m.: Rep. Thomas Washburne
• 10:30 – 11 a.m.: Judge Christopher Goff
• 11:15 – 11:45 a.m.: William Riley
• 11:45 a.m. – 12:15 p.m.: Judge Maria Granger
• 12:15 – 12:45 p.m.: Elizabeth Green
Wednesday, April 19
• 9 – 9:30 a.m.: Judge Peter Foley
• 9:30 – 10 a.m.: Judge Matthew Kincaid
• 10 – 10:30 a.m.: Peter Rusthoven
• 10:45 – 11:15 a.m.: Leslie Henderzahs
• 11:15 – 11:45 a.m.: Judge Steven Hostetler
After each day of interviews, which will be open to the public, the JNC and Rush will meet in a closed executive session for deliberations. After Wednesday’s executive session, the JNC will vote on three finalists to send to Gov. Eric Holcomb. Holcomb will select one name to fill Rucker’s seat after his May retirement.
