Holcomb’s office announced Tuesday that Steven Clark Hagen has been appointed judge of Noble Superior Court II, while Chris Alan Wrede has been appointed judge of the Terre Haute City Court. Hagen will replace Judge Michael J. Kramer, who was elected to the Noble Circuit Court in November. Wrede will replace Judge Sarah Mullican, who was elected to the Vigo Circuit Court.
Both Hagen and Wrede have each worked as deputy prosecutors in their respective counties.
Additionally, Hagen has served as Ligonier city attorney; Albion, Avilla and Cromwell town attorney; and has represented various governmental entities. Hagen currently serves as the president of the Noble County Public Defender Board.
Wrede has served on the Vigo County Drug Task Force and has extensive experience investigating and prosecuting drug crimes. Wrede has also worked in private practice.
