The Democratic prosecutor announced Wednesday he will file his candidacy paperwork in the Marion County Clerk’s Office today. Curry was first elected in 2010 and was re-elected in 2014.
“Curry has worked tirelessly to return integrity to the office, build effective public safety partnerships to address violent crime, shine a spotlight on white collar crime, protect the rights of victims, and provide a fair, balanced approach to criminal justice in Marion County,” his campaign said in a statement Wednesday.
No other candidates have filed to run for Marion County prosecutor, according to data available from the clerk’s office as of Jan. 17. The filing deadline is noon on Feb. 9.
