The Fishers City Court has become the most recent to implement electronic filing as the Indiana Supreme Court nears the end of its push to roll out e-filing across the state.

The Hamilton County court implemented voluntary e-filing on Friday and will switch to a mandatory electronic system on May 1. The Randolph Circuit and Superior Courts will follow suit and begin voluntary e-filing on March 14, followed by the Center Township Small Claims Court in Marion County on March 23.

Courts in 87 Indiana cities and counties have already implemented voluntary e-filing, while 77 have mandated the electronic practice. The Brown Circuit Court will be the next to switch to mandatory e-filing on April 2, followed by the Beech Grove City Court on April 3.

The Supreme Court has set a goal of rolling out e-filing in each of Indiana’s 92 counties and city courts by the end of 2018. The full e-filing implementation schedule can be read here.
