Zion Smith was 16 and Jaquisha Love was 18 in July 2016 when the Marion County prosecutor says they took part in “three and a half hours of senseless violence” in an overnight wave of shootings and robberies.
They were convicted in March on one count of murder, five counts of attempted murder and an armed robbery charge. A judge Wednesday sentenced Smith to serve 145 years and Love 130 years.
Eighteen-year-old Dayron Staten was slain and four others were seriously wounded in the shootings.
Spent cartridges found at the scene matched bullet fragments removed from Staten’s body.
