Attorneys will have 15 extra days to file a petition to transfer to the Indiana Supreme Court next year, thanks to an appellate rule amendment adopted Monday.
The high court unanimously approved the amendment to Indiana Rule of Appellate Procedure 57(c)(1). That rule previously allowed 30 days after an adverse decision to file a transfer petition, but the amendment extends that time frame to 45 days, effective Jan. 1.
