Thirty-eight-year-old Daniel Lee Jones Sr. was charged Friday in Madison County with two counts of murder and criminal confinement.
He’s accused of killing 39-year-old Trinity Rose Parker and 35-year-old David L. Phillips II, both of Anderson. Parker’s body was found July 29 in an abandoned farmhouse, while Phillips’ body was discovered Aug. 6 in an Anderson nature preserve.
A judge entered a not guilty plea Friday on Jones’ behalf. Online court records show that Jones indicated that he wants to proceed without counsel.
The Star Press of Muncie reported that three other Anderson residents are also being held on charges stemming from the slayings.
