To recognize the accomplishments of female attorneys in central Indiana, the IndyBar’s Women and the Law Division presents the Antoinette Dakin Leach Award.
Please take a moment to nominate a female attorney who has demonstrated some of the attributes of Antoinette Dakin Leach by encouraging other women in the pursuit of this honorable profession or blazing a path not taken by others.
Visit indybar.org/adl for the online nomination form. The deadline for nominations is July 26. The recipient of the award will be honored at an event this fall.
Nominate a Deserving Colleague for a Professionalism Award
Professionalism — it’s a trait that sets apart one stellar attorney or judge from another. Now is your chance to honor this invaluable quality in your Indy colleagues.
The IndyBar Professionalism Committee is soliciting nominations for the 2019 IndyBar Professionalism Award (attorney) and IndyBar Silver Gavel Award (judge). We’ll also present the Unsung Hero Award, given to a lawyer who goes above and beyond the call of duty and exhibits the highest level of commitment to others without the expectation of praise or recognition. Nominations are due by Wednesday, September 18.
The professionalism awards were created in 2004 to summon to the spotlight lawyers and judicial officers whose career exemplifies the high calling and higher achievement of lawyers in modern society.
Nominate a deserving legal professional by filling out the form at indybar.org/profawards and noting why your nominee is qualified for the honor along with some examples of his or her professionalism in action. Recipients will be honored at the Recognition Breakfast on November 19 (details and online registration coming soon).
