Interviews for an upcoming Allen Superior Court vacancy are set to take place in June after being postponed this month due to COVID-19 concerns.

The interviews were initially scheduled for April 8, but due to the social distancing required to slow the spread of COVID-19, the interviews have been rescheduled for June 9.

Seven applicants will be interviewed by the Allen Superior Court Judicial Nominating Commission to fill an upcoming vacancy in the Allen Superior Court Civil Division left when Judge Nancy Eshcoff Boyer retires in June.

The interviews are open to the public and will take place in Courtroom 107 in the Allen County Courthouse at 715 South Calhoun Street, Fort Wayne. However, the public will be notified if adjustments are required based on social distancing measures.

Scheduled interview times will begin after the Allen Superior Court Judicial Nominating Commission holds an executive session at 9 a.m. The interviews are scheduled as follows:

10:10 a.m.: Andrew Williams

10:40 a.m.: Andrew Teel

11:10 a.m.: Break

11:30 a.m.: Magistrate Judge Brian Cook

Under state law, the commission is required to nominate three finalists. The appointment will be made by Gov. Eric Holcomb.
