Gov. Eric Holcomb is now accepting applications for the position of judge in Hamilton Superior Court No. 6. Qualified applicants should complete and submit the judicial application no later than 5 p.m. on Wednesday, April 20. The application and more information can be found online.
Bardach graduated from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in 1975. She began her legal career serving as a deputy prosecuting attorney in Marion County, then as an assistant U.S. attorney for the Southern District of Indiana, according to a February 2016 profile in Indiana Court Times magazine.
She stepped aside to become a stay-at-home mom for 10 years before returning to the legal profession in 1993 to serve as judge of the Carmel City Court.
Bardach successfully ran for reelection to her current position in 2012 and 2018.
According to the Hamilton County Reporter, Bardach has presided over thousands of criminal, civil and traffic cases each year. In 2010, she started the Hamilton County Drug Court.
