A fire that destroyed a historic western Indiana building that formerly housed a law office may have been set, investigators say.

The fire in the two-story commercial building in downtown Sullivan was reported shortly after 3 a.m. Monday, Sullivan County Sheriff Clark Cottom said. The Sullivan Daily Times reported the building was the former Bodine Law Office that had previously partially collapsed.

Indiana State Fire Marshal investigators are asking anyone with information about the fire to call the Indiana Arson Hotline at (800) 382-4628, the newspaper reported. Callers may receive an award of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest.

Sullivan is about 30 miles south of Terre Haute.
