Indiana is welcoming a historic milestone as the first African American U.S. attorneys to serve in the Hoosier State were confirmed by the U.S. Senate on Thursday night.

Clifford Johnson and Zachary Myers are the new U.S. attorneys for the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana, respectively. They were confirmed by unanimous consent.

The pair were nominated by President Joe Biden in July and approved on a voice vote by the U.S. Senate Committee on the Judiciary in late September.
