The law firm plans to combine with Griffiths & Partners, a leading law firm in the Turks and Caicos Islands, and Pisut and Partners, a top service provider in Thailand.
Dentons said it would become the first and only global law firm to establish a presence in the Turks and Caicos Islands.
“Our Indiana clients’ business and legal needs are increasingly becoming more multijurisdictional as they look for opportunities beyond the United States,” said Keith Bice, Dentons managing partner in Indianapolis.
“When finalized, the combination with leading law firm Griffiths & Partners in Turks and Caicos Islands will allow us to seamlessly help our clients as they seek to grow their presence across the Caribbean,” Bice added.
Dentons now has offices in 38 locations in Latin America and the Caribbean as well as 29 countries with over 500 lawyers. Globally, the firm has over 160 locations in 80 countries with over 12,000 people.
Dentons is the sixth largest law firm in the Indianapolis market with 79 local attorneys, according to research by the Indianapolis Business Journal.
Griffiths & Partners’ expertise spans key practice areas which include banking and finance, corporate and commercial, dispute resolution, family law, real estate and trust and private client services.
Pisut & Partners is a leading service provider in Thailand and is recognized in the areas of in dispute resolution, corporate/M&A, employment and competition & antitrust.
Dentons allows each new combination firm to retain control of their operations, finances and leadership while gaining access to global resources and talent.
