The Indiana Supreme Court certified a former Allen County judge as a senior judge Thursday.

Wendy Davis’s appointment will run through the end of the year.

Davis stepped down from the bench in March 2023 to run for a seat in the Third Congressional District.

She lost the primary to Republican Marlin Stutzman, who previously represented the Third District from 2010 to 2017.

Ashley Hand was appointed to the bench to replace Davis following her resignation.
