Here’s what survived the Legislature and what didn’t

Tax cuts, employer vaccine mandates and various social issues dominated the 2022 Indiana General Assembly.

But a divide between Republican leadership in the House and Senate — both chambers have Republican supermajorities — also set the tone.

Republican leaders were at odds over the highest-profile issues for almost the entirety of the two-month session, including on bills from the House that sought to restrict employer vaccine mandates and to offer broad tax cuts for businesses and individuals.

Here’s a look at how key issues were settled once the Legislature adjourned last week. In the end, 177 bills cleared the House and Senate to make it to the governor’s desk.
