Indiana Gov. Eric Holcomb has named a new Department of Revenue commissioner.

Holcomb announced Friday that Bob Grennes will succeed outgoing DOR Commissioner Adam Krupp, whose resignation is effective Jan. 31.

Krupp is leaving the job to seek the Republican nomination for attorney general.

Grennes has served as chief operating officer at the revenue department since 2017 and has played a role in helping the department update its technology.

Prior to working for DOR, Grennes worked for Total Plastics International and USA Group and spent time as a management consultant and leadership coach.

The appointment is effective Feb. 1.

“Bob is a hardworking public servant who has taken his private sector experiences and leveraged them to improve our state,” Holcomb said in a written statement. “I’m confident that under his direction the Department of Revenue will continue to ensure that Hoosiers receive great government service at a great value.”
