The Indiana Bar Foundation will be hosting its Civics Summit next month, with National Constitution Center CEO Jeffrey Rosen as the keynote speaker.

The annual event will be on April 17 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Ivy Tech Conference Center in Indianapolis.

The annual one-day conference brings together leaders from government, education, business, nonprofits, and the legal community to discuss and promote civic education and engagement across the state, according to the bar foundation.

“The 2025 Indiana Civics Summit is a vital opportunity to bring together leaders and educators who are committed to strengthening civic education and engagement in our state,” Charles Dunlap, president & CEO of the Indiana Bar Foundation, said in a press release. “We are honored to welcome Jeffrey Rosen as our keynote speaker, and we look forward to insightful discussions that will help prepare the next generation of informed and engaged citizens.”

Rosen will discuss his latest book, “The Pursuit of Happiness: How Classical Writers on Virtue Inspired the Lives of the Founders and Defined America” at the summit.

Each attendee will receive a complimentary copy of the book, with an opportunity to have it signed by Rosen.

The summit’s agenda includes showcases of civic education and engagement programs for youth throughout Indiana and a preview of activities planned for America’s 250th anniversary in 2026. These sessions aim to highlight successful initiatives and inspire collaborative efforts to enhance civic participation among young Hoosiers.

Tickets are priced at $50, covering both breakfast and lunch. Seating is limited to the first 200 registrants. The deadline to register is April 7.

The proposed agenda is as follows:
