The number is an all-time high for cases in the daily report from the health department, but it includes the addition of 462 older positive cases resulting from a corrected laboratory reporting error.
The correction also resulted in the addition of 1,628 tested individuals and 2,067 tests administered to Friday’s counts.
The department reported 17 new deaths from COVID-19, raising the cumulative total to 3,270.
