The Indiana Supreme Court has appointed a new member to the Committee on Rules of Practice and Procedure Thursday.

Boone County Prosecutor Kent Eastwood has been appointed to serve the remainder of the term. His term will expire on June 30, 2027.

Putnam County Prosecutor Tim Bookwalter resigned from the committee, creating a vacancy.

Members of the committee who aren’t appointed serve five-year terms that begin on July 1, with a maximum of two terms.

The committee reports recommendations and proposed amendments to the Indiana Supreme Court on rules of practice and procedure.
