It’s time to register for the third annual In-House Counsel CLE Getaway to connect with your fellow in-house colleagues and engage in practical and relevant programming regardless of industry, experience level, or practice area! This year the Getaway is in beautiful French Lick, Indiana at the French Lick Springs Resort and Casino from June 13 through June 15.
Clear your calendars to network with other lawyers who are in-house counsel and receive up to 6.5 general CLE credits and 1.5 ethics credits – double bang for your buck. The Getaway is in conjunction with the Bench Bar Conference, with the opportunity to mingle with approximately 400 lawyers and 40+ members of the judiciary.
Put on by IndyBar’s In-House Counsel Division, the In-House Counsel CLE Getaway is open to attorneys who are engaged in the active practice of law employed by entities or agencies in either the private or public sector, and do not hold themselves out to the public of the practice of law.
As in-house attorneys, we know the challenges we face are unique and the Getaway provides a dynamic and personalized experience where in-house attorneys can interact with each other, share experiences and knowledge, bounce ideas off of each other, and attend smaller group CLEs that are specific and pertinent to what in-house lawyers are facing in their positions. Debi Dobbins, chair of the In-House Counsel Division, said it best: “The In-House Getaway is a great event that brings in-house attorneys together in a small environment and provides CLEs specifically designed for in-house attorneys. The event gives in-house attorneys the opportunity to connect, learn, and share best practices.”
Those registered for the Getaway may attend Bench Bar events such as the golf outing, kick-off event, a Juneteenth Celebration Lunch, dinners, mixers, and a Trivia Night in support of the IndyBar Foundation. On June 14 and 15, Getaway attendees have the opportunity to attend six educational sessions specifically targeting issues that they are likely facing or may soon face:
• Cyber Threat – Addressing the Newest Attacks to Indianapolis Firms;
• Artificial Intelligence and the Law;
• What to do if the Government Comes Knocking;
• A Panel Discussion on Cybersecurity, Data Privacy, the Corporate Transparency Act, and Worker Classification;
• DEI for In-house Counsel; and
• Ethical Considerations for in-house counsel.
Don’t miss this invaluable and unique opportunity to develop meaningful relationships and stay up to date on current topics in the legal landscape! You can register for this dynamic event at www.indybar.org/ihcg.
In addition to the Getaway, the In-House Counsel Division provides other opportunities to network and share best practices throughout the year. As a division, we are committed to providing a wide-range of valuable opportunities and are constantly evolving our thinking to ensure we are prioritizing the needs and requests from our in-house colleagues – whether that’s gathering at a CLE on a hot-button issue, partnering with other IndyBar sections for a programming that provides personal or professional value, or simply putting on an event where in-house attorneys can mingle and have fun in a low-pressure environment. As we work to decide on other programming and events throughout the year, please join us at our monthly coffee gatherings located at different coffee shops around Indianapolis.
