This unique opportunity for in-person education and networking has become a fixture on IndyBar’s annual calendar — and offers up to six CLE credits, including an ethics credit!
IndyBar’s E-Discovery Section designed this event for practitioners with the goal of providing actionable and practical e-discovery insight as well as an opportunity to network with peers addressing similar challenges. Judges, in-house lawyers, outside counsel and critical vendors make up our judicial and cybersecurity panels and will provide caselaw updates and tell stories from the trenches. We break up the day with door prizes, an eDiscovery Family Feud, and conclude with a beer and wine reception.
E-discovery is everywhere. It is ubiquitous in litigation — the key to internal investigations, becoming prevalent in M&A, and necessary in determining the extent of and responding to data breaches. E-discovery is even in the headlines due to Alex Jones’ attorneys inadvertently producing an image of his entire cellphone and Donald Trump’s legal team requesting a special master to make determinations of privilege. Register for this annual event and learn how to only appear in the headlines by choice!
During the event, our presenters will focus on less sensational but equally important trends, including authentication of electronic evidence, the relation of information governance and cybersecurity insurance and more. This day of education on e-discovery trends is a fantastic opportunity to learn about some of the latest technology in the space in a low-pressure environment and explore some of the use cases that apply to your role. And of course, for commercial litigators, discovery comprises about 70% of the cost of litigation, so this will be the most important CLE event you attend all year — do not miss out!•
E-Discovery Day is presented by IndyBar’s E-Discovery, Information Governance & Cybersecurity Section and celebrates the establishment of e-discovery rules.
