The IndyBar Foundation had an incredibly successful Day of Giving on Tuesday, Oct. 1. The Day of Giving is an annual, 24-hour fundraiser where volunteers endeavor to raise thousands to help the foundation continue to invest in the future of the profession. This year the volunteers had a lofty goal to raise $70,000… and they beat it! The fundraising officially kicked off during the Community Empowerment Breakfast and then continued in the ‘war room’ at IndyBarHQ. As various benchmarks were hit, IndyBar Foundation President Travis Jensen from Johnson Jensen LLP and Visibility Committee Co-Chair Alex Limontes from Hurst Limontes LLC took part in the foundation’s version of the Hot Ones Challenge. Check out our Facebook Page for replays of their battles with various hot sauces! The day also featured a contest between Bar Leader Series Classes to see which class could get the closest to 100% participation. Congratulations to Bar Leader Class XVI for winning the competition! In addition to bragging rights, you’ll receive limited edition Foundation Champion t-shirts, so keep an eye on your email for delivery information. By the stroke of midnight, over $72,000 had been raised in support of the foundation. A special thanks goes out to our sponsors, top gifters, and volunteers:
