IndyBar: You’re Invited to Three Judicial Ceremonies Being Held in December

In the month of December, IndyBar will host two judicial retirement ceremonies and a swearing-in ceremony for all judges elected during the 2024 election. The entire legal community is invited to and welcome to attend these impressive events. All three ceremonies will take place in the Community Justice Center’s Jury/Public Assembly Room (675 Justice Way, Indianapolis, IN 46203). The CJC has plenty of free parking available for attendees. Registration is not required for any of these events.

On Friday, December 13 at 1 p.m. IndyBar will honor the Career of the Hon. Mark Stoner prior to his retirement. Open seating will be first come, first serve beginning at 12:30 p.m. with standing room available. Attendees should plan to hear distinguished guests present brief remarks along with closing thoughts from Judge Stoner.

On Tuesday, December 17 at 3:30 p.m. IndyBar will honor the career of the Hon. John F. Hanley prior to his retirement. Open seating will be available beginning at 3 p.m. Standing room will also be available, if needed. The program will open with brief remarks from distinguished guests and will close with thoughts from Judge Hanley.

On Friday, December 20 at 8:30 a.m. IndyBar will host a public Swearing-in Ceremony for the Marion Superior Court judges elected in the 2024 election. Open seating with additional standing room will be available beginning at 8 a.m. The ceremony is expected to last a half hour with an open house immediately following.•
