Riley is stepping down on Aug. 16 after serving on the state’s second-highest court since 1994, when she was named by then-Gov. Evan Bayh.
She rose to the appellate court after serving as Jasper Superior Court judge from 1990 to 1993.
Riley earned her bachelor’s degree from Indiana University-Bloomington in 1971 and her law degree from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in 1974
Early in her career, she served as a deputy prosecutor in Marion County and a public defender in Marion and Jasper counties before entering into private practice in Jasper County.
There are eight judges and lawyers who will be interviewed Monday.
Interviews are open to the public and will be in the Supreme Court Conference, Room 319, in the Indiana Statehouse, 200 W. Washington St. Indianapolis, 46204.

9:15 a.m.-9:45 a.m. – LaPorte Superior Court Judge Jaime M. Oss
9:45 a.m.-10:15 a.m. – Anna Mandula
10:30 a.m.-11 a.m. – Lake Superior Court Judge Stephen E. Scheele
11 a.m.-11:30 a.m. – A. Elizabeth Underwood
11:30 a.m.-12 p.m. – Stephanie E. Steele
1:30 p.m.-2 p.m. – Lake Superior Court Judge Gina L. Jones
2 p.m.-2:30 p.m. – Senior Judge Wendy W. Davis
2:30 p.m.-3 p.m. – Porter Superior Court Judge Mary A. DeBoer
After the interviews, the commission will deliberate before publicly voting on its top three candidates that Gov. Eric Holcomb will pick from for the final selection.
