IUPUI Mock Trial will host its invitational during the weekend of Nov. 14-15. Rather than being held in person, the invitational will be hosted virtually via Zoom due to safety concerns and travel restrictions posed by the coronavirus.
“Participation as a judge would greatly benefit the competitors who represent 16 teams from across the country,” Sara Berge, a sophomore at IUPUI and an executive member of the IUPUI Mock Trial team, wrote in an email to IL. “Mock Trial at IUPUI depends on local judges, attorneys (and) law students to make the program a successful growth opportunity for undergraduate students. This tournament is also an opportunity for undergraduate students, interested in law school, to gain exposure to our legal community.”
Two rounds will be held each day, including one morning round from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and one afternoon round from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Volunteer judges do not have to volunteer for every round, nor for both days.
