The Indiana Supreme Court has appointed St. Joseph County Judge Stephanie Steele to serve as one of the state’s 10 commercial court judges.

Steele has already begun working. She replaces now-U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Indiana Judge Cristal Brisco.

The commercial courts are comprised of 10 judges who have experience in management and business law.

Indiana Supreme Court Justice Derek Molter serves as the liaison for the commercial courts.

Steele joins nine other commercial court judges, including:

  • Judge Craig Bobay, Allen Superior Court
  • Judge Stephen Bowers, Elkhart Superior Court
  • Judge Jon Brown, Hamilton Superior Court
  • Judge Mark Dudley, Madison Circuit Court
  • Judge Maria Granger, Floyd Superior Court
  • Judge Christina R. Klineman, Marion Superior Court
  • Judge Thomas Massey, Vanderburgh Superior Court
  • Judge Lakshmi Reddy, Vigo Superior Court
  • Judge John Sedia, Lake Superior Court
