Marion Superior Court Magistrate Ronnie Huerta passed away earlier this month on June 10.

Huerta, 56, was an active member of the Indianapolis Bar Association.

“Judge Huerta’s calm voice, willingness to mentor new attorneys, and levity in the courtroom will surely be missed. My son and I’s prayers are with his loved ones and our legal community during this time,” David Ziemba, an attorney with Hennessy & Roach P.C., wrote on LinkedIn.

A memorial service will be held on June 27 at 3:30 p.m. in the Jury Assembly Room at the Community Justice Center.

“He was always great to work with over the years and our legal community is left with a void from his absence,” Senior Associate Director for Equal Access and Opportunity at Purdue University Joseph Delmater wrote about Huerta on LinkedIn.
