Indiana Court of Appeals
Vanessa Manuel v. State of Indiana
24A-CR-1250
Criminal. Affirms Boone Circuit Court Judge Lori Schein’s finding that Vanessa Manuel is guilty of Level 6 felony resisting law enforcement, a Class A misdemeanor driving while suspended, and Class B misdemeanor possession of marijuana and upholds the sentencing of Manuel to an aggregate 365-day sentence with credit for time served and the remainder suspended to probation. Finds that the evidence is sufficient to prove that Manuel forcibly resisted, obstructed, or interfered with Deputy Jeffery Dixon as he attempted to assist Manuel to move her disabled vehicle from the roadway, where it had been blocking traffic. Attorney for appellant: Riley Parr. Attorneys for appellees: Attorney General Todd Rokita, Deputy Attorneys General Jodi Stein, Andrew Sweet.

Leesa A. Gatton v. Robert D. Gatton
24A-DN-716
Domestic relations with no children. Affirms Allen Circuit Court Magistrate Jesus Treviño’s denial of Leesa Gatton’s motion to correct error in the court’s division of her marital estate with Robert Gatton in a divorce case. Finds the trial court should have included the entire present value of the husband’s pension in the marital pot, but it did not abuse its discretion in dividing the marital estate. Also finds any error in the trial court’s failure to include the husband’s IRA in the marital estate was harmless. Attorney for appellant: Daniel Borgmann. Attorney for appellee: Perry Shilts.
