Several probation officers from around the state were recognized for their commitment to the profession and their long-time service at the annual justice services conference.

Lake County Probation Officer Kevin Elkins was presented with the Order of Augustus award. The award goes to an officer that has been nominated by members of their community and then selected by the Probation Officers Advisory Board as an individual who demonstrates outstanding commitment and personal dedication to the profession.

The following 21 probation officers were honored for their 25 years of service:
