Outgoing Indiana Tax Court Judge Martha Blood Wentworth’s retirement ceremony has been set for later this week.
The ceremony will be livestreamed at 2 p.m. on Aug. 30.
Wentworth has been on the bench for more than a decade.
She is the second person to be judge of the tax court and the only woman to do so.
Wentworth has been the sole judge of the Indiana Tax Court since 2011, when she was appointed by former Gov. Mitch Daniels.
She announced her retirement in April, and government attorney Justin McAdam has been named as her successor.
The details of McAdam’s investiture are still to be determined at this time.
Since 2011, Wentworth has drafted 206 opinions and served on several court and bar association committees.
She also has taught as an adjunct professor for Indiana University Kelly School of Business, Robert H. McKinney School of Law and Maurer School of Law.
Wentworth will begin her new role as senior judge Sept. 3.
