The Indiana Supreme Court appointed attorney Antony Garza as Judge Pro Tempore in Whitley Superior Court Tuesday.

Whitley Superior Court Judge Douglas M. Fahl is being deployed for military service where he serves as the military judge for the Indiana Army National Guard.

Starting Sept. 1, Garza will fill the bench vacancy for Fahl.

Fahl was elected to the bench in 2010 and re-elected in 2016 and 2022.

In 2017, Fahl returned to the bench after serving at Guantanamo Bay for a year.

He became the Indiana National Guard’s first military judge in 2020.

Garza currently has his own law firm of Garza Law Office LLC in Warsaw.

He joined the state bar in 1997 and does not have any disciplinary history, according to the Indiana Roll of Attorneys.
