Banks will replace Sen. Mike Braun, who won his race for Indiana governor, and will join fellow Republican Sen. Todd Young in representing Indiana in the U.S. Senate.
A handful of competitive races could change who represents Indianapolis metropolitan residents at the Indiana Statehouse.
Also included is the creation of a new tax credit that would reward employers who offer higher wages or upskilling opportunities.
