The Indianapolis Bar Foundation (IBF) Nominating Committee has announced its slate of officers for 2020, naming Raegan Gibson of Paganelli Law Group to the position of First Vice President. Gibson will assume the role of president-elect in 2021 and will lead the IBF as president in 2022.

The Indianapolis Bar Association’s Nominating Committee has announced the selection of the Hon. Alicia Gooden as the 2022 President of the Indianapolis Bar Association. Judge Gooden will serve as the association’s First Vice President on the 2020 Board of Directors and as President-Elect in 2021.
My wife and I decided nearly 30 years ago that the most fun parents (the ones whose homes were always overflowing with kids and their friends), were disposed to say “yes” more than “no.” We decided that unless we had a really good reason, we would try to be “yes” parents. Given that some elderly Indiana residents are likely to be in possession illegally of cannabis or are legally self-administering CBD products, how should Indiana health facilities address the issue in their policies? As a legal product, CBD now presents the same issues encountered with the self-administration of any other over-the-counter medication. Cannabis is more complicated though.

On November 14, join us as we gather in the Indiana Supreme Court courtroom from 3 to 4:30 p.m. for the IndyBar HEAL (Helping Enrich Attorneys’ Lives) Committee’s fourth annual Celebration of Life & Career. Each year, this memorial service gives us an opportunity to honor the lives and careers of local attorneys, judges and paralegals who passed away in the previous year.
Instead of fearing pro bono reporting the next time it comes around, look at it as a challenge or reminder to give yourself fuller life experiences through the service areas of poverty law, civil rights, charitable organization representation or administration of justice.
