The Indianapolis Bar Foundation has awarded its $35,000 Impact Fund Grant to the Joseph Maley Foundation, the IBF announced Wednesday. The money will fund the Joseph Maley Foundation’s new parent education and pro bono legal assistance program for central Indiana students with individualized education plans.
While many are aware of the good the Indianapolis Bar Foundation does for the Indianapolis legal community, some might not be aware that the IBF has been responsible for awarding more than 75 scholarships to law students since 1983. These scholarships help alleviate the high cost of law school and provide students more affordable access to post-graduate education.
Indiana attorneys who wish to share comments about required pro bono reporting have until April 1 to provide their views.
The Indianapolis Bar Foundation is now accepting applications for its Impact Fund Grant, which is awarded to a nonprofit that seeks to make a significant positive impact in central Indiana.
The IBF truly is your private foundation. By that, I mean the IBF’s annual fundraising goal of over $250,000 is supported almost entirely by attorneys and judges who are members of the IndyBar. With these fundraising efforts, your foundation annually funds the $35,000 Impact Fund grant and supports IndyBar programs and initiatives to the sum of more than $100,000.
Applications are now being accepted for three academic scholarships and four educational scholarships from the Indianapolis Bar Foundation (IBF), the charitable arm of the IndyBar.
