A Delaware County jury convicted 30-year-old Jessica Skeens of seven of nine charges Thursday, including neglect of a dependent resulting in death and driving while intoxicated.

Muncie woman arrested after death of baby with burns, fractures

A central Indiana woman has been arrested following the death of her young daughter who authorities say had burns on most parts of her body, multiple bone fractures and apparently was malnourished. Thirty-two-year-old Sarah Ann Styhl of Muncie is jailed in Delaware County on $50,000 bond and is preliminarily charged with neglect of a dependent resulting in death.

Appeals court trims sentence for Muncie man in bomb case

The Indiana Court of Appeals has overturned one of several convictions and trimmed the sentence for a central Indiana man who tried to kill his former girlfriend with a homemade bomb. The rulings in the case of 40-year-old Lionel Ray Mackey Jr. of Muncie will apparently reduce his prison term from 101 years to 94½ years.
